After a 25-year career as an Emergency Room physician, Dr Angela Clark retired from medicine and changed direction to pursue her lifelong interest in travel. Born and raised in the UK, she has had the opportunity to live and work on three different continents, experiencing the richness of diverse cultures firsthand. Currently residing in Canada, Angela has explored over 63 countries across six continents, often revisiting her favourite destinations. In 2022, she acquired her travel advisor licence and subsequently established Women-Go-Travel. With over 10 years of experience hosting adventure tours for her ringette team, founding WGT was a natural progression to share her passion for travel with a broader audience. Women-Go-Travel, located in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, specialises in small-group, women-only, organised adventures worldwide.

Comfort and Safety:
Travelling in a group of women can provide a sense of security. My tours have carefully chosen activities, lodging and transport to ensure you feel safe and comfortable. Additionally, as your host, I’ll be there to offer support and guidance before, during and after the trip.

On my tours, you’ll discover things you wouldn’t typically find in mainstream itineraries. This could be anything from female-led enterprises, cooking classes, art workshops, or culturally unique customs and rituals.

I joined Angela on a Women’s Only Hosted tour to Türkiye in September 2024. It was a trip of a lifetime. The tour was well organized, included many unique activities, and took us to amazing destinations I don’t think I would have found traveling on my own. I specifically appreciate that Angela travelled with the group and was on hand to take care of everything during our adventure, it was great to just sit back and enjoy the experience without worrying about schedule, reservations, transportation or tickets. I participated in Angela’s inaugural trip to Türkiye, and it was an amazing travel experience. The small size of the group made it a very personal, enjoyable adventure, and it was a perfect mix of seeing mainstream attractions and experiencing local culture and cuisine that otherwise would have gone unexplored. Having a local female tour guide was invaluable, not only for assisting with language barriers throughout the trip and for sharing her wealth of knowledge on every location we visited, but also for providing insight into the local customs, culture and day to day life for women in Türkiye. I have done a many trips with Angela. All have been amazing. What I enjoy the most is everything is so well organized and if anything unexpected happens Angel will figure it out. You just show up for these awesome adventure and know everything will work out. I always feel safe, even if something unexpected happens. Most recent adventure was to Peru and so looking forward to going to Nepal. I love these amazing life experiences! It truly makes you feel alive!

I had the absolute pleasure of traveling to Turkey in 2024 with Angela and her company, Women Go Travel—and wow, what an experience! I honestly can’t say enough good things.
From the moment I booked, everything was smooth and stress-free. Angela clearly knows what women travelers need and want, and she’s built something truly special. Every part of the trip—from the itinerary to the places we stayed—felt thoughtful, safe, and totally aligned with the spirit of connection and adventure.
What made it extra amazing was the group of women I traveled with. It felt like an instant sisterhood—so much support, laughter, and great conversation. We had a lovely local female guide who was passionate about her country and brought everything to life, from the history to the culture to the best places to eat and shop.
Some highlights? Hiking through stunning landscapes, wandering vibrant markets, sharing meals with local women (a super fun impromptu dance party), and of course—the unforgettable hot air balloon ride (yes, it really was uplifting, lol!). We stayed in various unique places but the one that looked like a cave was so amazing and my favourite.
This trip wasn’t just a getaway—it was a meaningful, empowering experience that left me with beautiful memories and new friendships I truly cherish. I’m already looking forward to my next adventure with Angela.

I had not done a hosted tour before going to Türkiye last fall. I would not have considered going by myself and didn’t know anyone that shared my interest until I heard about Angela’s planned trip. From having the itinerary planned and booked (which I have no patience for!) and Angela’s on the spot decision making to take advantage of unplanned opportunities it was such a great trip I signed up for Colombia. Obviously my sister could tell I was on to something so she has signed up for Colombia too! I liked the values of supporting women’s and local businesses and appreciated the space left in the itinerary providing options within the group for different activities or downtime as needed. Highly recommended.
