After a 25-year career as an Emergency Room physician, Dr Angela Clark retired from medicine and changed direction to pursue her lifelong interest in travel. Born and raised in the UK, she has had the opportunity to live and work on three different continents, experiencing the richness of diverse cultures firsthand. Currently residing in Canada, Angela has explored over 63 countries across six continents, often revisiting her favourite destinations. In 2022, she acquired her travel advisor licence and subsequently established Women-Go-Travel. With over 10 years of experience hosting adventure tours for her ringette team, founding WGT was a natural progression to share her passion for travel with a broader audience. Women-Go-Travel, located in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, specialises in small-group, women-only, organised adventures worldwide.
WHY A WOMEN-GO-TRAVEL TRIP?
Comfort and Safety:
Travelling in a group of women can provide a sense of security. My tours have carefully chosen activities, lodging and transport to ensure you feel safe and comfortable. Additionally, as your host, I’ll be there to offer support and guidance before, during and after the trip.
Unique Experiences:
On my tours, you’ll discover things you wouldn’t typically find in mainstream itineraries. This could be anything from female-led enterprises, cooking classes, art workshops, or culturally unique customs and rituals.
Empowerment and Sisterhood:
The feeling of camaraderie forms quickly and naturally when we travel in a small group. We cheer each other on, support each other, laugh together (lots) and form friendships that last well beyond the duration of the trip.

You both planned and saved my vacation this year! You might think there was a hiccup at the beginning of this trip due to the Air Canada strike, but your awareness, preparedness and engagement was above and beyond saving the trip and made it smooth and worry free for me while many others were stressing about making alternative arrangements. On my Alaskan cruise, there were six of my fellow travelers did not make the Vancouver embarkation and had to puddle jump over to Juneau to connect with the cruise on day three, so you did great to have me safe and sound in YVR on the Monday night. This is the third trip you have arranged for/with me and they continue to get better and better. Your knowledge of the locales and things to do are always right on point. You stay within my budget (teaching me lots of ways to save money along the way) and still plan for every adventure I’m interested in as well as suggesting things that will be right up my alley. I couldn’t be happier with your service! Can’t wait to do this again!

I had the opportunity to travel to Turkiye with Angela’s Women Go Travel tour and it was an amazing experience! It was a perfect combination of adventure, historic education, cultural immersion, relaxation, and of course food and drink experience! I particularly enjoyed getting to know the women in our tour better and the positivity around supporting local women’s businesses. A trip with Angela means you’re taking care of throughout; she is available to answer questions and give helpful tips pre-departure and is very mindful of what her group is enjoying and will make adjustments as needed. I particularly liked how Angela sought out women-owned businesses and encouraged support of local businesses wherever possible. Our group had a lot of fun and laughs while also learning about local culture and customs and always being respectful. Home visits were a highlight and a real insight into authentic daily life. In September I went on the most incredible trip to Turkey with Women Go Travel hosted by Angela Clark. From the moment we landed, everything was seamless – the transfers, the hotels, and all the thoughtfully planned activities that let us truly experience Turkey, not just see it.
Angela creates such a warm, welcoming space for women to travel together, even if you come solo. Our group was a mix of old friends and new friends and we all connected over Turkish breakfasts, sunsets over Cappadocia, and wandering the spice markets in Istanbul.
The hot air balloon ride over the fairy chimneys was a definite highlight, Angela puts her heart into every detail, and you feel safe, supported, and free to enjoy every moment.
If you’ve been wanting to travel but feel nervous about going alone, I can’t recommend Women Go Travel enough. You will come back with new friends, beautiful memories, and a reminder of how much joy there is in exploring the world together.
