With 42 years of entrepreneurial experience, Shawna Balas stands as a visionary leader whose path is illuminated by more triumphs then setbacks. Her journey has been enriched by forming connections with extraordinary women business owners who drive development and innovation. While challenges like imposter syndrome and limited marketing budgets often arise, the most common desire among these entrepreneurs is simply to be seen. Shawna understands that the true power of women lies in supporting and uplifting one another, fostering a community where they can shine together.
Shawna is committed to building a vibrant community that champions women entrepreneurs and supports their collective success through the SHE-Canada Business Directory. Her mission is to elevate women-owned businesses by providing a unified online “telephone book,” facilitating easier connections and fostering a strong network among women.
Our Mission
At SHE our mission is to amplify the voices and ventures of women-led businesses by providing a dynamic digital platform dedicated to expanding their reach and visibility. We strived to create an inclusive online business directory app that facilitates connections, enabling women to easily source and showcase products and services. By fostering a supportive environment where women uplift one another, we aim to build a thriving network that champions collaboration, empowers economic success, and harnesses the collective strength of women entrepreneurs across the nation and someday beyond. Together, we drive innovation, nurture diversity, and promote a culture of women supporting women.
In addition to our App, we highlight businesses of the day throughout our social platforms and publish the SHE MAGAZINE which features business profiles.
